 The quality of an education system and the its teachers teaching are interconnected. Learning to teach meaningfully equitably is a core priority reforms. In this article we reflect on what process learning might mean for in system. We ask how extent initial teacher mitigates reduces inequities. particular, examine relationship between practice as component draws data examining nature student teachers’ experiences Western Cape South Africa. argue that illustrates does indeed invest future with pedagogic authority. As such, it legitimate position classroom within system, albeit varying differentiated outcomes equity.
